Islamic Car Finance Through Ijara.

Ijara is a lease-based arrangement designed around Islamic financial principles.

With the Ijara-based option available through SCF, the finance provider purchases the vehicle and leases it to the customer under an agreed contract. The product includes a route to ownership, with the precise transfer arrangements explained in the finance documents.

Instead of focusing only on a monthly figure, it's important to understand who owns the car during the agreement, the rental schedule, total amount payable and the responsibilities of each party.

We currently introduce customers to an Ijara finance product through Ayan Capital. SCF is a broker, not the finance provider.

What about Murabaha?

Murabaha is another Islamic asset-finance structure, based on a disclosed cost-plus sale rather than a lease. It is explained in our educational guide but is not currently available through SCF.

For a fuller explanation of the Islamic finance principles and differences between structures, read our Halal Car Finance Guide.

Our role as your broker

Why Choose Sharia Car Finance?

You can approach a finance provider directly. Our role is to make the journey more straightforward through personal guidance, practical support and dealership coordination.

Understand Your Options

Speak with someone who can explain the Ijara process, the stages of an application and the information the finance provider may need.

Help With The Details

We can liaise with a suitable dealer, gather relevant vehicle details and assist with progressing the application and documentation.

Vehicle Sourcing Support

If you haven't found your car, we can help search UK dealer listings and share suitable options for you to consider.

Transparent service: Sharia Car Finance does not charge customers a broker fee for arranging their finance. Any amounts due under a finance agreement are set out by the finance provider.
From enquiry to vehicle

Your Journey, Step By Step.

We explain the process and help with the practical stages. Finance decisions remain with the relevant lender.

01

Register Your Interest

Tell us your contact details, monthly budget and when you're looking to buy. This initial registration does not involve a credit check.

02

Discuss Your Requirements

We contact you to learn more about your circumstances, vehicle preferences and the next steps. An initial soft credit search may form part of a later assessment.

03

Finance Assessment

Where appropriate, we help progress an application. The lender assesses creditworthiness, affordability and its eligibility requirements, and may ask for supporting information.

04

Choose A Suitable Car

Find a vehicle with an eligible motor dealer or use our sourcing support. Both the car and the selling dealership must meet the lender's requirements.

05

Review The Documents

Where finance is offered, review the rental amounts, term, total payable, customer obligations and ownership arrangements before proceeding.

06

Complete & Collect

Once all conditions are met, the finance provider purchases the car and the dealer can coordinate collection or delivery.

Two Ways To Get Started

Already found a car? We can discuss whether the vehicle and dealer meet the finance provider's requirements.

Need help searching? Our team can help look for cars within your preferred budget and requirements.

Either way, you remain in control of the final vehicle choice.

Before you enquire

Islamic Car Finance Eligibility.

The right finance option depends on your individual circumstances and the lender's current criteria.

A lender may consider your credit history, income, ongoing commitments and ability to afford the agreement. The vehicle and dealership must also meet its requirements. We can explain the information needed and whether it is appropriate to progress to a formal application.

Approval is not guaranteed. If you're uncertain about eligibility, speak to us before assuming a particular finance arrangement is available to you.

Good To Know

Registering interest: No credit check at this stage.

Later assessment: A soft credit search may be used. A formal lender application may involve other checks, which should be explained at the relevant stage.

Vehicle checks: Both the supplying dealer and the vehicle must be acceptable to the lender.
